Why we exist
Service businesses grow on reputation and reliable delivery. When the firm is small, everyone can see the jobs. When it expands, the same habits create quiet pile-ups: unanswered quotes, uneven close-outs, and managers who spend Fridays catching what the week left behind.
Evolving Technet was formed in Auckland to work at that hinge point. We help owners see the operating week clearly, then choose a small number of changes that supervisors can actually keep.
How we work
We favour observation and conversation over generic frameworks. A typical week in a trade firm looks different from a clinic or a hospitality group, so we start with your job sheets, rosters, and client promises — not a slide deck of abstract principles.
Engagements stay finite. We write findings in plain language, rank what to try first, and leave. If you later want a check-in, we schedule it; we do not attach ourselves as an unpaid second management layer.
People
Our consulting work is led by practitioners who have managed service delivery teams in New Zealand firms before advising them. We partner with specialist accountants or employment advisers when a recommendation touches payroll design or employment law, rather than stretching beyond our brief.
Values in practice
- Specificity over slogans — name the handoff, the person, and the delay.
- Respect for people who deliver — recommendations should lighten load, not add theatre.
- Honest scope — we decline work that needs a different kind of adviser.
Auckland base, NZ reach
Our office is at Level 10, 80 Queen Street, Auckland 1010. Much of the fieldwork happens on client premises around the North Island, with hybrid sessions when travel would only add cost without improving observation.
